The value of a woman as set by God is priceless and cannot be determined. However each individual woman sets her own price based on her belief in God as well as the value she places on herself. The sad thing is the value many women have set for themselves today is far too low. Anytime you see a woman showing her body freely, stripping, prostituting or anything except using her body for God’s purpose she has undersold her value. Most women lower their value for this temporary life on earth investing nothing in their eternal life. A woman’s value is priceless for the one amazing fact of life… reproduction. Mankind cannot continue to grow without reproduction through a woman. So why are women settling for men who are not Godly? Why do we have so many single and unwed mothers? Why are women saying there are no strong men and feel they have to get what they can from whomever? Women, instead of lowering your standards, you need to know your value and make men raise their standards. Women, the standard that you should set yourself is that of God and what He directs in the Bible. The new movie says Think Like A Man, But Act Like a Woman. I disagree. I say Think Like God, and Act Like A Godly Woman. The Bible outlines what the duties are for men and women both single and married and we all should follow those guidelines. Proverbs 31:10 (KJV) “Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.”

God values you above precious stones like rubies, so why are you valuing yourself for fool’s gold?

In our society today sex is everywhere. It’s in our music, it’s on our televisions, it’s on marketing ads; sex is everywhere. One of the issues we have because of the wide popularity of sex is the devaluing of sex. Sex no longer means anything therefore causing the personal value of individuals to not mean anything. What should be priceless has now dwindled down to essentially pennies. However it does not have to be that way nor should it be that way. What’s your value? Are you defining your value based on what God has set or what the world you live in has set? God has set your value at priceless, but everybody below God has put a value on it. Too many times in our society we are comparing our lives to others instead of to the standards of God. In order for you to achieve the fullness of your life, you need to align yourself with God and no one else. 1 Corinthians 6:19-20(KJV) states “¹⁹What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost which is in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own? ²⁰For ye are bought with a price: therefore glorify God in your body, and in your spirit, which are God’s.”

Your body does not even belong to you so why are you giving it away for free?

A woman is the greatest creation alive

Sweeter than honey from a beehive

From their head to their toes

A beauty that continues to grow

Like a fine wine that gets better with age

Or a suspense novel when you turn the page

A beauty that is beyond compare

Try to compare a woman no one should even dare

From the gentle glide on air that we call their walk

To the soft adorable whisper that we call their talk

The touch of a woman is relaxing to the skin

Like a Sunday morning dew blowing in the wind

The scent of a woman is refreshing to the nose

Like a hot sweet potato pie when the wind blows

Just like the stars in the sky

The essence of a woman keeps me high

Whenever I see the smile on a woman’s face

I have to thank God for His amazing grace

For the chance to be in the presence

Of women who possess such elegance

From the bottom to the top

A woman can make my mouth drop

By simply walking in a room

And making my eyes zoom

Like a camera on a unique picture

That enhances the image making it richer

When the thought of a woman comes to my mind

The words to describe them is so hard to find

But I do know that the word woman equals love

Which means they are truly blessings from above

Because they carry the seeds of life here on earth

Giving love and showing its worth

So if there is a special woman in your life

Whether it is your daughter, mother, grandmother, or wife

Take the time to thank them for all that they treasure

Because it is something we will never be able to measure

Times have changed and so have most unwritten traditions. These days women are running for president and other high political positions, more single mothers than ever, women are also earning higher salaries and the list goes on. However, one thing most women struggle with doing is asking a man out on a date. Why is that the case? Women have become more empowered and are considered equal in 2011 but when it comes to dating most women do not want to make the first move. Many women say their fear of rejection keeps them from pursuing a man for a date. There are some women that believe if a man is interested he should make the first move. Women overall believe that is the one unwritten tradition that should never change. Some men view a woman asking them out as too aggressive and a turn off. The chase is over if a woman asks a man out. However with men allowing women to take the leadership roles traditionally reserved for a man, then why is it a big deal for a woman to ask out a man? As more and more women become single parents and the leaders in their single households it should be no surprise that women are taking on more aggressive roles in their own lives. In many cases women have been mistreated by a man, so when they finally see a man that catches their interest shouldn’t they approach him? Inspirational women everywhere are leading a revolution to encourage women to get educated, chase after their dreams, and not settle for less than a man. So if it is okay for a woman to do all of that, then why is it so bad for a woman to ask out a man 2day?  

Daydreaming and I am thinking of you
In my daydream the thought of you is so vivid and clear
So sweet and so elegant; so romantic and so passionate
Only I can see it, but will never fully be able to describe it
I can hear the music softly playing; saxophone to be exact
The lights are off except for the two scented French vanilla candles burning
The room is dark yet your eyes and smile provide the sensual light we need
As you walk near, I extend my hand to yours
Immediately when I grab your hand, a chill goes up my arm
I pull you in to give you a kiss on the cheek
You lay your head on my shoulder
I wrap my arm around you and you place your arm around my stomach
No words are spoken as we soak in the atmosphere
Your perfume seeps into my skin and relaxes me
You shut your eyes because you feel protected and safe
I watch you as you drift off to sleep
I begin to smile as I look at how beautiful you appear to me
How beautiful you look in your sleep with the candlelight reflecting off of your skin
I remove your hair from your face and kiss you again on your forehead
I hold you a little tighter because I want you to continue to feel warm
Before long I drift to sleep as well
And we sleep the night away embraced in each other’s arms
[Door alarm sounds]
Reality has set back in, I’m at work and a customer is talking to me
So I wake up from my daydream
But fear not, the daydream is still in my mind
Till the next time I daydream about you and I

I’ve always been told the more you have, the more that is expected from you. In many ways that statement is true but when it comes to dating that is not always correct. Too often we are trying and many times going overboard to impress someone. We may exaggerate the truth from what we do for a living, what we have in life and the list goes on. Why can’t we keep it simple when it comes to dating? When we were kids we used notes like do you like me check yes or no. A lot of the times the notes were passed from our friends to the boy or girl we liked. Sometimes the notes were made by our friends because we were too shy to ask. SIMPLE!!! One of the simplest examples of asking someone out is shown in the Luther Vandross video, Take You Out. It is so basic and simple and straight to the point, yet many people do not understand. The shortest distance to a point is a straight line, so why do we take the long route with curves and turns? Yes I am aware our society has become very materialistic and high maintenance, however you should be able to see that on a person from far away in most cases. When you see someone you are interested in, simply introduce yourself and ask if you can take them out. Most people will simply say yes or no period. Be confident in yourself, maintain eye contact, and simple ask, can I take you out 2day?

A symbol of love, a symbol of commitment, a symbol of undying love, that’s what a wedding ring IS supposed to mean. It is supposed to be a symbol that you exchanged with your husband or wife as a vow in front of God saying no matter what, sickness in health till death do you part. However today with the rate of divorce in our society going up as well as affairs while married; a wedding ring is nothing more than a fashion trend. For all the diamonds, gold, and platinum people want in their ring, where is the commitment in the ring? No longer when people look at their wedding rings do they feel that same loyalty. No longer are people willing to do whatever it takes to make a marriage succeed. In our society, if we don’t like something or if someone makes us mad we just quit. No hard work to make sure it works; we just quit and get divorced. The most common reason for divorce is irreconcilable differences which means you quit. I never heard of a problem too big when God is involved. The wedding vows state “till death do us part,” not until times get rough. As I watch television or even walk around my neighborhood, I see far too many divorced mothers and divorced fathers with less and less families. So to those who are married, hopefully everything is going well in your marriage, but when you look at your wedding ring what does it mean to you 2day? To those who are looking to get married, before you say I do, make sure you know what that involves. So when you look down at your wedding ring, you will know just what it means to you 2day.

It’s Tuesday, not a particularly special day, not a holiday or even a weekend. Someone out there you love is in need of your love 2day. It could be your husband or wife, a child, your parents or grandparents, or just a good friend you have not spoken to in awhile. In life we all go through the struggles of life and the days sometimes seem to all just run together. 2day is a great day to reach out to someone and let them know you love them and you are there. Something as simple as a two minute phone call could brighten up a person’s day more than you will ever know and give you a great feeling too. With all of the advertisements showing gifts we forget the simple things. Who are you thinking of 2day? Maybe they are thinking of you too but just can’t find the words. Have you been in a disagreement with someone you love recently and haven’t apologized? Do it 2day! Life is too short to let a day slip away when you could’ve shown someone you cared and didn’t. What are you waiting for? You have phones, email, text, Facebook, Twitter, and many more ways of communication today. Don’t waste time because tomorrow is not promised. So who do you love 2day?
